Donald

Dylan is an NYC-based director and published author. He studied at NYU Tisch Film School and spent the years since making films, writing books, and producing commercial content.
In 2016 he began working with Columbia University, with a team that focused on public health concerns. Dylan created many videos for this team and among them were four short documentaries about people with disabilities. Funded by a government grant, the aim of these documentaries was to educate clinicians about the experiences of different people with disabilities. One of these films was “Donald”, which followed dancer Donald Lee as he prepared for a live performance with the Heidi Latsky Dance Company.

A feature screenplay that Dylan wrote won a $10,000 award from the Sloan Foundation. A documentary of his was featured on Upworthy.com and viewed over 240,000 times. His short film “”The Tunnel”” has won “”Best Short Film”” at Inwood Film Festival and “”Best Short Director”” at the Austin Revolution Film Festival. Another short, “”Omie Wise””, won awards at the Las Vegas Film Festival and the First Run Film Festival.
