Content Warnings – ReelAbilities 2024

Due to the nature of the festival, ableism content warnings apply to a number of films.
The following are additional content advisories for this year’s films:

• Daruma – Swearing, simulated oral sex scene. 
• Deaf Giants – A potentially offensive historical term for deaf people is briefly mentioned.
• Dear Ani – Manic episodes that lead to hospitalization. 
• Dosh – A moment of physical abuse between spouses.
• Good Bad Things – Partial nudity.
• How to Build a Life – Mental health and suicide.
• Is There Anybody Out There? – Derogatory Language.
• La Lucha – Police brutality.
• Rally Caps – A boy gets hit by a baseball bat in the film. Impact is not shown, but can be considered mild violence.
• Sexual Healing – Partial nudity, sexual content
• To My Father – A car accident is depicted in the film.
• Tell Them You Love Me – Sexual assault, racism.
• We Care – Reference to sexual abuse.
