Stephanie Holbrook Casting is looking for young performers, tweens and late
teens, for an ensemble of characters in the independent feature film
FLOATERS, a heartfelt and comedic movie set at a Jewish summer camp.
SEEKING KIDS 9-12 AS WELL AS 18-22 YEAR OLDS OF ALL GENDER
EXPRESSIONS. NEURODIVERSE INDIVIDUALS AND THOSE WITH DISABILITIES ARE ENCOURAGED TO SUBMIT. NO ACTING EXPERIENCE NECESSARY.
This project is committed to crafting a diverse and authentic ensemble.
Looking to cast authentically Jewish kids for these roles, including young
people from Jewish communities of different ethnic identities not often
represented in media. In addition, we’d like to encourage neurodiverse
performers, individuals with disabilities as well as performers of all gender
expressions.

Casting actor for the role of Daisy in the independent feature, Every Other Weekend. The role is for an actor who uses forearm crutches.

Shooting approx. August-September 2023.

CHARACTER DESCRIPTION
[DAISY] Female 20 yrs. old, white. A beauty queen uses forearm crutches. Dating Brian, whom she lives with in a trailer on Marty’s land along with his brother, Sam. Shares the space with Ruby and Joey when they have to sleep there as well. Is kind to Ruby and finds a way to bond with her.

STORYLINE
Ruby is a straight laced 14 year old girl from New York City who has to spend a week of the summer in the boonies with her deadbeat rocker mother, Joan, her boyfriend , Marty, and their trashy friends. Appalled by Joan’s lack of accountability and the state of Marty’s house, Ruby does her best to shelter her little brother, Joey, from the chaos, while forming a friendship with Sam, a boy around her age who lives on Marty’s property in a trailer with his overbearing brother. Can Mom and daughter put down their weapons and find a common ground, or will they dig in deeper once they discover each other’s secrets?

Using a professional video guiding service to navigate beyond her impairment, Tess meets the irrepressible Sunny Patel, the seeing-eye agent who acts as her “eyes” from 3,000 miles away and the two form a bond. Haunted by the case she leN behind, Tess uses Sunny to guide her remotely in a search for the missing woman she believes is sill alive.
Tess chooses to keep her condition a secret at first – but she will ul;mately learn that her new partner, Sunny, has a secret agenda of her own: there is a reason Sunny chooses to see for others while staying out of sight herself.  And the central question for Tess is, can Sunny be trusted?

Bunim
/Murray Productions, the producers behind A&E’s Emmy Award Winning Born this Way, Peacock’s Born for Business, and the documentary Autism: The Musical, is producing a docu-series for a major streamer.
The series will follow people with intellectual/developmental disabilities as they plan, shoot, and edit a short film. We’re looking primarily for directors, producers, art directors, costume designers, 1st ADs, and eventually actors.

We recognize that individuals may not have a lot of professional experience, but we are interested in finding people who are genuinely interested in filmmaking. PASSION and PERSONALITY will be more important than professional experience.
