Meet the Experts
The ReelAbilities Film Festival: New York and the ReelAbilities Industry Summit are excited to offer a select group of filmmakers the opportunity to participate in one-on-one meetings with top professionals in the film industry.
To request a meeting, choose the expert you wish to meet with, click REQUEST A MEETING, and select an available time in their calendar. A ReelAbilities representative will follow up shortly to confirm your appointment.
Meetings will be held on Monday, April 7 and Tuesday, April 8, between 9am and 12pm, in person, at JCC Manhattan.
Each meeting will last up to 20 minutes, and availability is limited. Requests will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis while slots remain open or until April 3rd.
LAWRENCE CARTER-LONG
REELABILITIES INTERNATIONAL

Lawrence Carter-Long has created, curated, critiqued, and consulted on projects for prominent organizations such as the National Endowment for the Arts, Turner Classic Movies, American Film Institute, as well as public speaking at the Library of Congress, the Academy Museum of Motion Pictures and the United Nations. Most recently, he served as a consultant for the Disney+ feature “Out of My Mind.”

MICHAEL EHRENZWEIG
ITVS

Michael Ehrenzweig is a Supervising Producer at ITVS and joined the organization in 2015. After spending many years producing international co-productions and award-winning non-fiction films, Michael now oversees a slate of documentary projects that are released on Public Media, in theaters, and on a variety of digital platforms. Michael has won multiple Emmy Awards and is an active member of the PGA and FWD-Doc.

MICHELLE HAMADA
TRIBECA STUDIOS

Michelle Hamada has dedicated nearly a decade to filmmaker development initiatives across multiple organizations. Currently, she serves as the Director of Artist Development at Tribeca Studios, where she manages artist development programs such as Queen Collective, Through Her Lens, AT&T Untold Stories, and the Future Gold Film Fellowship. Additionally, she collaborates on the department’s branded entertainment initiatives.

ELLE JONES CASTING

Elle Jones is the owner of Elle Jones Casting and serves as co-producer and casting director for Road to Etape Du Tour, casting director for REAL, The Young Bloods musical, and the short film Final Frame. With over 20 years of experience in entertainment and corporate sectors, she specializes in talent scouting and contract negotiation. MATT KAPLOWITZ
BRIDGE MULTIMEDIA

Matt is President and Director of Technology and Innovation for Bridge Multimedia, the largest producer of audio description for network and cable TV in the United States. Matt is an Emmy, Peabody, and Grammy Award-winning producer, composer, and sound designer, as well as an assistive listening systems engineer and A/V systems integration specialist for ADA-compliant installations for public spaces. Matt served as a member of U.S. State Department’s delegation representing the U.S. in establishing technical global standards for high definition television.

SHEILA NEVINS
PRODUCER

American film and television producer and former head of MTV Documentary Films division of MTV Entertainment Studios. Previously, Nevins was the President of HBO Documentary Films. She has produced over 1,000 documentary films for HBO and is one of the most influential people in documentary filmmaking. She has worked on productions that have been recognized with 35 News and Documentary Emmy Awards, 42 Peabody Awards, and 26 Academy Awards, as well as 31 individual Primetime Emmy Awards.

CASSIDY DIMON
FWD DOCS

Cassidy Dimon is the Executive Director of FWD-Doc a global, intersectional community of over 1200 disabled creators and allies working in media to build a more inclusive, accessible, and equitable entertainment industry. She is the founder of the Film Event Accessibility Working Group (FEAW), helping film exhibitors execute accessible film events and festivals. She is also one of the creators of the groundbreaking Film Event Accessibility Scorecard.

Erich C Smith
Sr TALENT AGENT

Erich C. Smith has been in representation going on 20 years. Smith ran the talent department at a boutique agency where he became known for identifying amazing comedic talent as well as diverse character actors. Since being at TCA, Erich has continued the work he was known for while expanding his portfolio to include staffed writers, produced playwrights, and indie film directors. Erich C. Smith was born and raised in Detroit MI, currently lives in Los Angeles with his wife and 2 children and is an avid contributor to Breast Cancer Research and The Human Rights Campaign.
