Disability Representation

Directed by disabled (low vision) filmmaker Sheridan O’Donnell, Rising Phoenix: A New Revolution takes audiences into the lives of Deaf and disabled Paralympic gold medalists, Hollywood actors, and cultural changemakers.
Featuring Lauren Ridloff (Eternals), Ezra Frech, Jim LeBrecht (Crip Camp), Anastasia Pagonis, Quemel Arroyo, and more, the film is a rousing, moving portrait of the modern disability movement. Through a mosaic of human stories that touch on inclusion, access, and employment, it aims to redefine the world’s image of disability.
