Directed by disabled (low vision) filmmaker Sheridan O’Donnell, Rising Phoenix: A New Revolution takes audiences into the lives of Deaf and disabled Paralympic gold medalists, Hollywood actors, and cultural changemakers.
Featuring Lauren Ridloff (Eternals), Ezra Frech, Jim LeBrecht (Crip Camp), Anastasia Pagonis, Quemel Arroyo, and more, the film is a rousing, moving portrait of the modern disability movement. Through a mosaic of human stories that touch on inclusion, access, and employment, it aims to redefine the world’s image of disability.

World Premiere. Director Sheridan O'Donnell, actor Lauren Ridloff, Paralympic Gold Medalist Swimmer Anastasia Pagonis, Valuable 500 Founder Caroline Casey, and MTA Chief Accessibility Officer Quemuel Arroyo will be in attendance and participate in a Q&A after the screening.
