Alex Dvorak is a multicultural writer, director, and journalist published in The Washington Post, HuffPost, The Cut, and more. She was recently profiled in People Magazine, detailing her rise from high-fashion runway model to writer of the hit indie film BAD SURVIVOR, which she wrote, directed, and starred in. The award-winning dark comedy was inspired by Alex’s first 24 hours in cancer remission and celebrated its LA premiere at Slamdance Film Festival. It was in contention for Best Live Action Short Film at the 2026 Academy Awards. Alex is a proud advocate for Teen Cancer America, a programmer for Slamdance 2026, and the author of a highly anticipated YA graphic novel soon to be announced. Alex writes stories of teen rebellion based on real-life experiences with authenticity, dark humor, and heart.
