Joshua J Parker is an actor and filmmaker from South East Cornwall, UK — a region still shaped by working-class traditionalism and inherited labour. Born with cerebral palsy, his work often explores disability within slow burn working-class realism and wounded masculinity, grounded in lived experience rather than sentiment. He self-funded his short film Circle Hook, which examines intergenerational identity within a Cornish fishing community. Joshua’s upcoming and recent screen credits include Steve, Django, House of Guinness, StopMotion, Blade Runner 2099, Breaking Cover, and Ebenezer, among others. He is currently developing Circle Hook into a feature.
