Ekiwah Adler-Beléndez is a bilingual poet, filmmaker, and disability activist born in Amatlán, Morelos, and based in Mexico. A dual U.S.–Mexican citizen living with cerebral palsy, he is the author of six poetry books, including Amor Sobre Ruedas (2022), which explores disability, eros, fatherhood, and life as a wheelchair user. His work has been presented at universities and literary festivals in Mexico and the United States, including the Dodge Poetry Festival and AWP, and he has received support from the Secretary of Culture of Mexico and the British Council for projects at the intersection of art and disability.
