Seeking ASL Actors and ASL Translator for Non Union Short Film

Compensation: Unpaid. Meals provided, transportation per diem provided. Clips for reels after post production is finished and IMDb credit 1 week after wrap.
Roles
Beth (LEAD):
- Female/ female identifying, any ethnicity
- Age Range: 27-32
- Deaf
- Artsy, alternative and confident, warm and welcoming
Andrew (LEAD):
- Male or male identifying, any ethnicity
- Age Range: 27-32
- Hearing, fluent in ASL
- A bit wound up, a mess and trying to keep it together, a bit insecure, and too humble for his own good. Has a sense of humor,
and battles with lack of confidence and liking himself. He appreciates life and all it has to offer.
Librarian (SUPPORTING):
- Male (any ethnicity)
- Age Range: 50-60s
- Wise, and not afraid to be stern and he says everything with just one look
Also seeking ASL Interpreter for audition, potential rehearsal(s) and shoot date
Auditions will be held Saturday, February 21st, from 3pm-6pm, at the Mezzanine in Lower Manhattan. If unable to attend the in person, please let us know if you're able to submit a self tape by 2/20/2026.
