ReelAbilities International Honored on Inaugural Forbes Accessibility 100 List
ReelAbilities International, the world’s premiere organization promoting disability inclusion and accessibility through film, is thrilled to announce its selection to the inaugural Forbes Accessibility 100, a prestigious recognition celebrating global leaders advancing accessibility across industries.
Announced today on Forbes.com and unveiled during a live panel at the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, the Accessibility 100 highlights innovators reshaping the world to be more inclusive—from tech and travel to education and entertainment. ReelAbilities’ inclusion honors its pioneering work in centering the voices, artistry, and experiences of disability communities and creatives, and for raising the bar for accessibility and representation both on screen and behind the scenes.
“This recognition from Forbes is an honor—and a powerful affirmation of our mission,” said Isaac Zablocki, Co-Founder of ReelAbilities. “For nearly 20 years, we’ve championed the creative brilliance and stories of disabled individuals through film. This recognition puts a global spotlight on our evolution and the importance of this work, our supporters, and the filmmakers who make it possible.”
Founded in 2007, ReelAbilities has grown from a New York-based film festival into an international movement, featuring affiliate festivals across the globe, a year-round streaming platform, and innovative educational and workplace programming that forsters and facilitates equal access, nuanced representation, and shift of cultural misperceptions about disability.
