Join us for virtual shorts program with Chicago Public Library! Four short films followed by a live conversation shedding new light on dating and relationships.

Single (14min.) Kim, who was born with one arm, gets set up on a blind date. When she finally meets Jake, she quickly realizes he also has a physical disability, and she is pissed. An unapologetic perspective on the complexities of being disabled and dating.

Second Time (4 min.) A deaf couple chats at a party while everyone else observes the beginning of a beautiful love story. But is the conversation as innocent as it seems?

Boldly Go (6 min.) A young gay man is hiding a secret. When a long-term crush tries to seduce him at a party, he is forced to expose the truth.

Full Picture (11min.) Santina has been in a wheelchair since she was six years old. With meetings, hangouts, and classes happening virtually due to the coronavirus quarantine, she’s experiencing something new—choosing when (or if) to disclose her disability.

Accessibility: All films will be screened with open captions and audio description. Discussion, questions and answers will have ASL and live captioning.
