Benefits of ReelAbilities Fiscal Sponsorship
1. 501(c)(3) Tax-Exempt Status:
As a sponsored project under ReelAbilities International Inc., your film will be able to accept tax-deductible donations and apply for grants that require a nonprofit fiscal sponsor. This status is essential for maximizing funding opportunities and appealing to a broader range of donors.
2. Fundraising and Grant Support:
We offer guidance on fundraising strategies and access to a wide network of potential donors. Sponsored projects can apply for grants, and we provide advice on proposal writing and application processes to increase your chances of success.

Our program includes professional financial oversight and administration. ReelAbilities International Inc. will manage the funds on your behalf, ensuring that all financial transactions comply with IRS regulations and best practices in nonprofit financial management.

Application Process
1. Initial Inquiry:
- Filmmakers interested in fiscal sponsorship should begin by submitting an initial inquiry to: [email protected]. This should include a brief description of the project, its current status, and how it aligns with the mission of ReelAbilities International Inc.
2. Full Application:
- If your initial inquiry is accepted, you will be invited to submit a full application. This includes a detailed project proposal, budget, timeline, and fundraising plan. You may also be required to provide samples of previous work and letters of recommendation.
3. Review Process:
- Our team will review your application to ensure it meets our eligibility criteria. This process includes an evaluation of the project's feasibility, potential impact, and alignment with our mission. We may request additional information or a meeting to discuss your project in more detail.
4. Approval and Onboarding:
- If approved, you will enter into a formal agreement with ReelAbilities International Inc. outlining the terms of the fiscal sponsorship. We will work closely with you to establish a fundraising plan and integrate your project into our financial management system.
Sponsorship Fees
· An administrative fee of 5% will be applied, based on the total budget of the project:
This fee covers the costs of financial management, donor communications, and other administrative services provided by ReelAbilities International Inc.
· Online donations incur a credit card processing fee of 2.5% plus $0.30 for each transaction. This fee is passed on from the credit card processor. Online donors have the option of covering the PayPal fee.
Additional Services
Additional services such as grant writing support, legal consultations, and marketing assistance may be available for an additional fee, depending on the scope of your needs.
Reporting and Accountability
Sponsored projects are required to submit regular financial and narrative reports to ReelAbilities International Inc. This ensures transparency and allows us to track the progress of your project. Filmmakers must also provide updates to donors and grant makers as required by the terms of their funding agreements.
