Sophie (they/she) started at Rotten Tomatoes as a critic grant recipient. While earning their Master's in Specialized Journalism from USC Annenberg, Sophie worked part-time on the RT critics and editorial teams as the 2018–19 Rotten Tomatoes Fellow in Digital Innovation and Film Criticism. Since joining the RT team full time, they have supported the Tomatometer applications cycle, the Critics Lab, critic grant programs, festival partnerships, and relationships with journalists' organizations including LAFCA, CFCA, and GALECA, as well as the NABJ, AAJA, and NLGJA. They are passionate about uplifting critical voices, journalistic integrity, and cultivating resources that serve the critics most in need of support.
