DJ Kurs has been the Artistic Director of Deaf West Theatre since 2012, shepherding the company through some of its most celebrated work, including the Spring Awakening revival that traveled from a 99-seat Los Angeles theater to Broadway and earned multiple Tony Award nominations, and a landmark production of Fidelio with the Los Angeles Philharmonic under Maestro Gustavo Dudamel that toured Europe after its LA run. Next up: Elephant Shoes, a world premiere co-production with Two River Theater.
